OUR PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY:
We accept PayPal at the time of reservation. An advance deposit of 50% is payable at the time of booking, due within 5 days of the reservation request. Because we get many inquiries for rentals we can not hold requested dates until a deposit has been received. All monies and funds in this agreement are listed in US dollars. The final payment of 50% must be made 30 days prior to occupancy.
SECURITY DEPOSIT- A fully refundable security deposit for the house keys in the amount of US$75.00 is required at the time of the second deposit (30 days prior to occupancy). This key deposit in the amount of US$75.00 will be released by the Owner and refunded to Tenant within two weeks after check-out date unless keys are not returned upon check-out to the caretaker. The key deposit will NOT be refunded if keys are removed from Costa Rica with the intention of mailing them to the Owner in the United States. The key deposit will NOT be refunded if keys are lost or stolen.
REFUND POLICY AND OTHER ADDITIONS-Due to the nature of our business, we get most of our bookings three months in advance. Since the house does not have the benefit of walk-in guests as does a hotel, when we reserve your dates with a 50% deposit, we will be turning away other bookings for the same requested dates. If Tenant wishes to cancel his/her reservation, the deposit will be refunded as follows:
For cancellations made greater than 30 days prior to rental date, we will refund 50% of monies ONLY if a new rental agreement ("booking") replaces the dates agreed upon. If no rental agreement has replaced the dates reserved, NO refund will be provided. For cancellations made less than 30 days prior to rental date, we will refund 25% of monies ONLY if a new rental agreement ("booking") replaces the dates agreed upon. If no rental agreement has replaced the dates reserved, NO refund will be provided. The key deposit is 100% refundable upon cancellation.
